I lived in Culross till I was 1 year old. I came back each summer to stay with my grandparents. I remember buildings black with the stour of centuries. I remember gray clouds that strained the light. Today the causeway stones gleam, the mercat cross sports baskets of gay geraniums, the walls sparkle with whitewash and 10th-Century saffronwash.

Just beautiful Elaine, all four photos, the colour & texture of the flowers is so delicate, :)
I fell in love with the tissue of petals. Glad you like. Now, I'm going to sit back and watch a movie. :)
But first I have to walk the beasts. Cody has been nuzzling my hand for the past 70 mins.
I remember a photo you posted of an iris quite some time ago, it was beautiful also, I think you called it 'silk dress'. Flowers are wonderful aren't they! Enjoy your walk, then you might get to sit back & enjoy the movie. :)
